Free Appraisal Clinic & Book Signing - Ironstone Heritage Museum 25th Anniversary Celebration begins Dec. 4

Ironstone Vineyards
FREE Appraisal Clinic
Dec 4th and 5th

Holabird Western Americana will join Ironstone Vineyards in Murphy's California as they celebrate the 25th Birthday of their Heritage Museum! Fred gave an opening speech 25 years ago and is pleased to return for this milestone. Come see Fred and our specialists as we will be doing a FREE appraisal clinic on December 4th and 5th. In between enjoying the wonderful grounds, family fun at the museum, panning gold and a taste of the latest Ironstone wines, visitors can bring items to be evaluated by Fred, world renowned expert in Western Americana.

Fred and his team of specialists will be available from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and 10am to 1pm on Sunday to talk with you about your collections and appraise materials you bring to the event. Clean out the attic and have those old things evaluated, you may have hidden treasures!  Fred has been in the auction industry for 40 years and has a vast knowledge of the mining industry, Gold Rush history, Western Americana, numismatics and so much more. We'll look at whatever you've got, including but not limited to gold specimens, coins, bank notes, documents, postal history, old photographs, tokens, and more!

So come on down and see us!  Sip a glass of wine.  Talk with other collectors.  Take a leisurely stroll.  Share your treasures - or your hope to be treasures. Make sure you enjoy the grounds and the wine tasting while you are at Ironside Vineyards and Museum, which houses the largest California gold specimen still in existence!

Additional Info:

The Ironstone Concours d’Elegance is an antique and classic car show held each September at Ironstone Vineyards near Murphys, California. Some 300+ antique and classic cars participate. The event also features vintage trailers, housecars, antique trucks and motorcycles, race cars and wooden boats. Honored guests from the old-car hobby and the auto industry regularly participate.

Featured vehicle marques vary from year to year—such names as Packard, Duesenberg, Pierce-Arrow, BMW, Corvette, Studebaker, Bentley and Rolls-Royce. Special classes spotlight early Fords, streamlined cars, sports cars, exotics, race cars, coachbuilt luxury marques plus significant unrestored and original automobiles.

The Ironstone Concours d'Elegance weekend begins with a Friday evening Cars & Stars wine tasting, dinner and auction. The concours itself takes place on Saturday, climaxed by an awards ceremony. Class winners drive onto the Ironstone Amphitheatre stage to receive their trophies. Among regular participants are Reno’s National Auto Museum, the California Automotive Museum in Sacramento, the Blackhawk Museum in Dublin and San Francisco’s Academy of Art University auto collection.

Proceeds from the Ironstone Concours d’Elegance benefit Central and Northern California youth in agriculture, notably Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4-H. In addition, the non-profit Ironstone Foundation has helped fund the California State FFA headquarters in Galt CAlifornia; scholarships in partnership with the California State Fair; and the Calaveras County Fair scholarship program.
